Move AutoCAD Mechanical 2013 to a new Windows 10 PC

Hi folks,

I'm looking for advice on how to move my AutoCAD Mechanical 2013 software from my existing Windows 7 PC to a new Windows 10 PC. It's so easy to sort out my Inventor software as I'm on subscription but the AutoCAD is a bit of a head scratcher!

The AC Mech 2013 software is a perpetual licence and I have my serial number. I do not however, have an installation disc anymore therefore, is it possible?

Thanks in advance.

These may or may not help
http://www.howtogeek.com/228689/how-to-make-old-programs-work-on-windows-10/
https://windowsreport.com/autocad-not-working-windows-10/

BTW... you spent all of that money and lost the disk? Autodesk does not easily provide links to old software, but you might try with a reseller in your region or whip out a credit card then try websites like ebay.

good luck

Hi Pendean,

Thanks for your reply, yeah the installation disc is missing, I think maybe a colleague took it home??? However, even if I had the disc, my new PC has no DVD drive. I've found an old AutoCAD LT 2013 disc, this seems to work OK on my windows 10 laptop but I've read somewhere that it might be compromised during a windows update.

Therefore, I'm still working on this problem. Thanks for the links.

It is the year 2022, USB external disk drives are cheap on websites like Amazon and dozens of others, only your imagination is holding you back at this point https://www.amazon.com/s?k=external+disk+drive&crid=1PSC4WWAIB6CE&sprefix=external+disk+drive%2Caps%...

You can fix that 😉
