LT 2009 Activation problem

I suddenly can't get my version of LT 2009 to start. It says the version or serial number are out of date. I used it a couple of months ago.Any ideas out there? Thanks, Doug

Wow! Where have you been for last two decades?

So wen it happened to you, you didn't fell cheated?

Not at all. Did you not read the part where I said that I chose to let it go? I could have chosen to chase that dragon but it wasn't worth my time to try keep old tech working.

it just didn’t provide me with everything that was necessary for me to install the software where i want it

This explains a lot. You are the one that should have provided yourself with the means to continue using the software. That was the choice that I made when I let 2000 go.

Yeah, you might want to check the dictionary on that one.

Agreed but it wasn't Autodesk. Too bad fiction doesn't hold up in court.

Fiction? Where you come from, sorry to say? starwars? real live men!

You can say what you want, but there is an unavoidable fact, the software works perfectly on windows10. I did not uninstall or reinstall the software, so what was the reason that sporadically led the software to request new activation? so out of nowhere? None! None at all, i say ... but someone will understand why this happened and then we'll see if this case will come to nothing!

Have a nice day!
For me, the attempt to understand that i was not deceived ends here!

But there was no guarantee that it would continue to. This is where you are sorely mistaken. The software was designed to work on an older OS and Autodesk decided to not continue updating it to keep up with newer OSs. End of support, end of story.

Windows update.

Lots of people do understand and so far there is no case.

Ignorance is not a defense. Refusing to learn the real reasons is, well, worse than ignorance.

You win!

You still don't understand that the root of the issue is in the form of the sale, the reliability of the product and the company that sells it.

Is it the windows update that changes the way of checking software licenses? If that's the problem, ok!

Tell me how i get the activation key for windows vista and i will be satisfied.

I don't mind using old software.

More fiction.

How can you say I don't understand and continue to ask me questions?

I made an informed decision about this over 15 years ago and I made that clear. Don't project your ignorance on me.

@Anonymous we all feel your pain, most of us get it.

There are some freebies out there that work just fine and read/write DWG files, give them a shot, if spending $$ on other CAD programs or AutoCAD is not an option.

Good luck.

You're wrong, I didn't ask you anything! I just expressed my indignation about this company and about the way it treats an old customer who trusted it.
If you do not agree with my opinion, the problem is yours, I do not need to know whether you agree with me or not.
I just need what I've already written, that's all.

But I also understood that you only respond to what suits you. 🙂

Have a nice day .

So, what were all those questions that I quoted and answered for you? More fiction?

Wrong again. I'm one of the ones stuck in the middle.

You are a special one, aren't you?
