Installing AutoCAD LT 2011 to new device

Hi, I have recently bought new pc and I want to uninstall autocad from my previous pc and install it on a new one. However I found this article

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/subscription-changes/autodesk-to-end-activation-for-versions-2011-201...

and it says that "If you currently have a perpetual version between 2011 and 2014 installed and activated on your device, it will continue to work. However, you will not be able to obtain a new activation code for these versions. "

I have my autocad 2011 lt on cd and I have serial no and product key. Last time I was switching devices I just needed to uninstall from old pc and install it on new  one providing product key.

Now because of this article I am worried that I won't be able to install it on new device, and I will lose access to program permanently after uninstalling it from old pc, even tho I bought perpetual version to avoid such a situation. Every hepl wold be much apprecieated.

Keep that old PC running or you will lose your ability to use your license.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

@prosuchy You did right by double-checking before you got yourself into a pickle. Kudos.

Autodesk is basically stating you no longer get to install your old software on new computers, but you get to enjoy it on the computer it is currently running on for as long as that is possible.

You can review further discussions about the topic in the forum your post is now in, it is dedicated for exactly your type of issue. Everything that can be said (and answered) has already been written. Not much else to add.

Good luck.
