Autocad LT upgrade without subscription

Anonymous
Not applicable

I'm looking to upgrade my AutoCAD LT 2008 to a version that does not require me to get an annual subscription and will last me another 10 years like the 2008 version has 😉  I really don't use it much, but I'd like to have it.  I've got a new PC running Windows 10 and I've not tried my AutoCAD yet, but I'm sure there will come a day/version that it will not work anymore =(   Thank you.  Kim

Commonly called overhead or the cost of doing business.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Do you mean yesterday was the first time ever that you spread the cost of your software (and hardware) over billable projects for your clients?

perpetual - adj. - never ending or changing.

Let's not mislead the readers by continuing to use that term.

Autodesk disabled the install to LT 2010 even though I own a perpetual license.  I can't use my legit purchased software anymore due to EOL fine print.

That's a very basic definition. Perpetual does not equal permanent.

Also, the installation has not been disabled. You might be legally allowed to bypass the activation process if you can figure out how.

You have many options available for occasional noncommercial use without cost. Also, the monthly subscription is actually quite attractive for this kind of usage.

@lincolnchan7VJJC You never owned anything except for permission to use a software that Autodesk can withdraw at any time. Hire a lawyer and read trough your EULA, its shocking what we all agreed to when you bought that LT2010 license and started using it.
