ACAD LT 2013 xref command error

I realize I'm on an old version but it's been working great until now.  The xref command or manually typing in brings up this error

Any help would be appreciated. I cleaned the drawing, tried another drawing, no success.

@branyo Since LT2013 is quite old, is this a sudden new problem on a new PC by chance?

Or is this the same old PC when LT2013 was first purchased?

Which OS are you running please? Sadly all the wrong answers for Autodesk to fix anything include Windows10 and Windows11.
