Hi all,

I am trying to print a simple 3D model to PDF file through the option File > Print > Print and PowerShape is showing the message on the image attached.

Has anyone faced this same issue before?

Regards,
Márcio.

Same problem at a customer! Happend after Windows update.

Please help!

The problem does not seem to be Internet Explorer related, as all security settings have been switched off.

Regards,

Vitor

Hi @marcio.benedetti & @VitorMartinsAugusto

I had a few customers call me about this today and can confirm that it looks like the latest Windows update is the culprit.  If you look online, it seems to have caused similar printing issues to a variety of programs...not just PowerShape, however it's related to specific printers, not pdf.

I've informed development about this through case 17596360.  I have not heard anything back just yet.

I'd say remove the latest Windows update and wait until they fix it.

Cheers,

Hi,

It seems that the problema is indeed caused by Microsoft and not Autodesk!

Please take a look here: https://www.windowslatest.com/2021/03/13/microsoft-working-on-a-fix-for-windows-10-bsod-march-update...

The culprit is Windows Update KB5000802. As a hotfix you can remove it manually and printing will work again. The bug affects all printing, not just PDF creation.

I guess that Microsoft will issue a hotfix, soon.

Vitor

Hi @VitorMartinsAugusto & @marcio.benedetti

I did get confirmation from Autodesk support that they are aware of this issue and know it is from the recent Windows update.

They requested that anyone that is affected by this update to remove it and wait until Windows releases a resolution to this.

Cheers,

It seems that Windows already published a hotfix.

Just run Windows Update.

Hi Vitor,

I ran the latest Windows update KB5001567 and it did not solve the issue. I needed to uninstall this update to fix it.

Cheers,

Marcio.

Thanks to all for helping with this matter.
