Powershape window size not displaying correctly

I purchased a DELL Precision M3800 3 years ago which runs Windows 8 & 10 in 3200x1800 screen resolution (Quadro FX 4600).

All software runs smoothly except for Powershape which fails to display the lower toolbar and pop out forms correctly. This was reported and noted as an issue via support in 2014. ([##1407##] screen size not correct).

The lower toolbar can be worked with as is displays 3/4 of the info, but the forms are unreadable.

Now 3 years later i am about to purchase a new laptop (4K) and this issue has still not been resolved. I had hoped this would be addressed with the new interface but no joy.

I also use Powermill, it displays perfectly, regardless of the screen resolution as does all other software installed.

Powershape is the only software installed that does not display correctly.

Can i be updated on the progress of this fix or ask if any other user has managed to find a workaround for this that does not involve running the 4K laptop in a lower resolution as this defeats the purpose of having a modern mobile workstation and causes all other programs to display awkwardly.

As most workstation class laptops are now 4K, i am surprised this has still not been fixed.

Any help or insight would be great.

Hi John

I have two 4K monitors, and see the same issues, though not quite to the same extent as in your images. I have set the text size to 150% (the recommended size), and on the hole dialog in particular, there is some overlap between the text strings.

I have reported the issue to development.

Thanks John,

As mentioned, I reported this one 3 years ago.

It's been a long wait, so really hope there is some action on this soon.

I look forward to being able to finally use the software properly on a
laptop.

John.

Hi John & Developers,

Is there any update on this situation?

Brand new computer but same issue, i do not understand why Powershape can not display correctly at a 3200 x 1800 resolution when Powermill and all other CAD packages do it perfectly. It makes working on the road very frustrating. It is a mobile workstation (Dell precision M3800) and all other software displays perfectly.

This issue was pretty much bumped 3 years ago by Delcam, I was really hoping for something better from Autodesk.

FYI - there are 71 programs & apps installed on the laptop, Powershape is the only one which does not display correctly. Surely that has to be at least a little embarrassing for the developers knowing that even Microsoft Paint displays perfectly, not to mention that the Powermill team have nailed it.

Have you anything more substantial than "reported the issue to development" as this is exactly what i was told 3 years ago?

John.

Hi John and John,

I have the same issue on my Dell precision M7710 with 17" 4K laptop screen and Quadro 4000 when displaying at the native resolution 3840x2160 and display scaling 200%.

A lot of the icons and menu's are too small. ( Though the Main Ribbon menu scales up perfectly).

Also the Viewcube size setting has a bug.  Forgets it's size in the tools>options. I have it set to large and have to reset it each time I restart PSHAPE despite Restart with Current Options is ON.

I've attached a screen dump of my concerns;

1. As per thread - Drop down list overlap.

2. Lower Menu bar overlaps with Start Menu Bar.

3. Levels Menu buttons too small.

4. Lower Menu bar button/Icons too small.

5.  Views Menu -  Too small.  And can we get the View from directions back? I can live with the ViewCube but this menu bar seems like wasted real estate now!.

My current workaround is to use a lower resolution but as you know, displays look pretty blurry at non-native resolution.

Regards,

Simon.

The hole dialogue apears to have been fixed.

What about the remaining issues with menu/items size?
