Changing existing surface profile

Hey, so i'm brand new to PowerShape but have been given the task to update a profile for a work job.

Our previous PowerShape guy has left so I don't have any support to do this.

Basically i want to change the lower profile as shown blending in tangentially to the existing top surface and then "lofting' around the rail.

I've basically just projected the existing curve from the power surface and created a plane then started to sketch. I've found that i haven't been able to use the projected curve to reference the new sketch and match tangentially.

Is there any tips or tricks you could provide?

Is this the correct method for what i'm trying to achieve?

As per usual there is a ridiculous timeline on this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jason

Hello,

I'm not sure that I understand completely your question, but ...

If the object is some surface which is created by rotation - you can just create new wire frame with needed geometry and make brand new surface again by rotation ? Surface looks simple , should works ?
