What software does this dongle go to?

Hello Forum,

An employee recently left our facility and was the only user of a DelCAM product we had purchased.  He left behind a dongle, and I have no idea what software it goes to.  Can anyone help point in the right direction please?

Dongle says "Delcam" on one side.

Dongle says "DELCAM 162974  HGB42802JGQ" on the back side.

Go to the dir C:\dcam\config\pass and you should see a file called ***.paf open that with Wordpad and it should tell you what licenses you have available such as Powermill, Powershape etc.

Thank you for the response.
The dongle may be broken, as when I plug it in, my computer does not recognize it as a standard USB drive. There also appears to be a yellow/orange led light in the end of the dongle that does not turn on either when I plug it in. Would it be fair to say that I should through this thing and the garbage and move on with my life?

It shouldn't recognize it as standard usb drive all it does is let you run the proper software that is listed in the paf file.

I would hold on to it for now and see what is listed on paf file. Might come in handy in the future

Hi

This is a FeatureCAM dongle.

This would support all versions before 2017 (so Delcam software).

This software would probably have been upgraded to Autodesk FeatureCAM, as the contract was still valid at the time of migration (Delcam - Autodesk) and I can see from the account that your company has 3/4 FeatureCAM licenses.

If the dongle does not light up when plugged in, you may need to update/install sentinel drivers on the PC...

You can download & install FeatureCAM 2016 here.

If the dongle lights up and you have installed 2016 software, the last thing you require is the license file (PAF).

If the dongle is indeed broken, there is no way to replace this.

We do have this on our system, but I will need an official company email address to send it to (you are welcome to private message me with this information).

Kind Regards
