Tool Axis Cannot Be Edited - Why?

i have a corner toolpath with a ball end mill. Dynamic Machine Control will not let me edit the tool axis. Why is this? What are some of the causes? I've run into this once before, it's very annoying.

EDIT: I turned Orientation Vectors off (was fixed direction) and I was able to edit it. This is a bug and needs to be addressed.

Can you upload your project? I think I have run into this before but cannot remember the fix.

unfortunately I cant. I did find i was able to with OV turned off, but that's just a work around.

Which version are you using? 

Tool axis vertical?

2021.  yep, vertical. just have orientation vectors turned on (which i always keep turned on, even if there's no offset angle). it's super weird. it doesnt happen all the time, but it happens often enough to be a huge pain in the butt. it seems it only happens on toolpaths that take 10+ minutes to calculate 🤣

Maybe that's my problem with trying to replicate it, this toolpath only took 10 seconds... 🤣

this was actually a shorter one too... most of the time it seems it happens at the most inconvenient times though.

let me see if i can upload this project. I'll delete most of the model geometry so it should be ok. that'll be a bit later as i've got a lot of fires today
