testing for already existing toolpath

is there a way to test inside of a macro to see if that tool path already exists? and to abort the macro.

i dont have any code to show because i dont know here to start.

try this:

STRING yourtoolpathname = "tp01"
IF ENTITY_EXISTS('toolpath', $yourtoolpathname) {
     MACRO ABORT //ALL
}

    IF entity_exists(entity('toolpath', '')) {
       MESSAGE INFO "yes"
    } ELSE {
        MESSAGE INFO    "no"
    }

 

if you're looking for a specific toolpath, you can put the name in the ' '  the code above will check for an active toolpath
