What is the reason for this important strategy, to the extent that it is incapable of changing Toll Access control?

Hi

The swarf strategy drives the side of the tool along a surface, so the tool axis has to be automatic because it's the surface that is driving that tool.

You can apply a small lead/lean if required or you can set the tool axis to vertical if you know the sidewalls are vertical, but they are the only tool axis options as far as I'm aware.

If the tool is not being driven in the desired/appropriate alignment, the swarf surfaces need to be modified so that the surface internals are more suitable.

You may find this video useful as it shows how you can change surfaces to get the desired toolpath.

I hope this helps

Hi

You can not use all of the different tool axis when using swarf, the tool axis is driven by the surface internals.

The only tool axis you can use are Automatic, Lead/Lean & Vertical.

If you need to change the tool axis then you need to change the surface.

But I do not think so.

Because the swarf strategy is all about keeping the side of the tool on the surface, there is no way to use the other tool axis and achieve a good swarf toolpath.

I think the main question here is what strategy do you need to use to achieve the toolpath in question?

Kind Regards
