Hi all,

There is any way to organize drilling holes by depth ?

When I have lots of holes, the post-processor create many drilling cycles in NcProgram. Because there is no organization by depth. I have 3 holes with same depht but on diferent places, I need powermill drill the 3 holes together, on this way only 1 cycle def is created on NcProgram.

Thanks in Advance

Best Regards

Hey,

I think there is a way to achieve this.

First make sure that the holes in the "Hole Feature sets" are ordered by diameter and depth.

This can be done with a macro.

Then in the drilling toolpath, select order "Use explorer tree order"

That should do it, but I did not test it yet

Greetings

Hi !

To get that result. You just need to ...

34.JPG

This way .. you get one drilling cycle in ncprogram for same diameter.

Cheers !!!

I do that all time. The problem is diferent depths.
Example: Z-15. + Z-20. + Z-15. it make 3 cycles. I need both Z-15 in same line/cycle. For this happen I need organizate holes by depth. And get this Z-15. + Z-15. + Z-20.
The Top of Hole is important but in this case I need "depth of hole"
Thanks for help.

With the featureset active, run this. Toolpaths must be calculated after that.
It must do what you want.

EDIT FEATURESET ; SORT "depth"
EDIT FEATURESET ; SORT "diameter"
