Robot simulation issues - KUKA KR60

Hi guys

I was hoping somebody would be kind enough to provide some support. I'm new to powerMill and looking to repurpose my KUKA KR60 robot into a milling cell for an R&D project..but I'm having some problems creating a twin and I'm not sure where to turn for help.

I've followed the help docs to generate/export the .dmt files using PowerShape, modified the .mtd file from the KUKA library and modelled the cell and spindle but I can't see where I'm going wrong.

When trying to add a new robot I get the "Cannot load model file" error and I'm at a loss of how to generate the .Robconfig file

I've attached the edited .mtd file, .dmt files and .psmodel

Any support you could offer would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Martyn,

I've had a lookat this and the mtd file is looking for a file called BCMotors.

Easiest solution is to delete lines 67-70 in your mtd file, save it and then open it in PowerMill.

This worked for me. PowerMill robot will then automatically generate and populate the Robsim file and open the configuration box to allow you to enter some additional info.

Hope that helps.

Richard

Thank you so much for the speedy response, and apologies for the late reply!

I'll try tomorrow and let you know how I get on.

Thanks again!
