PowerMill Project Server and other Plugins

Hi All,

I used to using PowerMill Project Server in older version of PowerMill.

But i have checked and cannot find the installment of that plugin.

Can you provide the Setup file that include all plugins.

Hello @Anonymous . Sorry for the inconvenience. We have accidentally dropped some plugins that are used by a small number of users from the PowerMill 2020 installer for some licence versions. We intend to re-introduce these in an update soon.

To make sure I have understood your problem correctly, can you please confirm that you are talking about PowerMill 2020; be specific about whether you are using PowerMill Standard, PowerMill Premium or PowerMill Ultimate; and list the plugins that you have found are missing.

Hi Benjamin, we are using PowerMill Ultimate 2017 and 2018. Mainly is 2017 version as it come with several macros and customization.

I used to apply PowerMillProjectServer Plugin but now i cannot find it in our installment that we get from ADSK Account website.

If any, can you provide a fully installment for PowerMill 2017 Ultimate.

Hello @Anonymous . I think you probably got the PowerMill Project Server Plugin by installing PowerShape, which is what it was originally supplied with. We have only been including it with the PowerMill installer since PowerMill 2019.0.2.

Hello @Anonymous. I have looked into this in more detail for you. For the PowerMill 2017 and PowerMill 2018 releases PowerMill Project Server was removed. For the very small number of users of it that were impacted by this we provided the PowerMill Project Server installer to them directly on a case-by-case basis as needed. It was not included in the PowerShape installer, as I previously indicated. It remains the case that we don't have a way for users to get the 2017/2018 version of the PowerMill Project Server installer directly.

PowerMill Project Server was included with PowerMill 2019 Premium and Ultimate with the Electrode Wizard Plugin since the release of the PowerMill 2019.0.2 update onward. Unfortunately, due to an oversight, neither the Electrode Wizard Plugin or PowerMill Project Server are currently included with PowerMill 2020 but we are working on rectifying that in a coming update soon. The version of PowerMill Project Server included with both PowerMill 2019 and PowerMill 2020 is compatible with PowerMill 2017 and PowerMill 2018.

So I think the best solution for you at the moment is to install PowerMill Ultimate 2019 and then apply the latest update to it. Make sure you include the installation of the Electrode Wizard Plugin. You should be able to download PowerMill 2019 and its updates from your Autodesk Account.

By the way, the PowerMill 2020.0.2 update we released on Tuesday, addresses the oversight of not including either the Electrode Wizard Plugin or PowerMill Project Server. So my advice now changes to installing PowerMill Ultimate 2020 and then apply the latest update to that.

I have gone through the conversation, but I am unable to find one solution from the forum.
Can anyone explain or guide on how install only Plugins separately after installation of PowerMill 2020?

You can install the plugins packaged with PowerMill by rerunning the PowerMill installer, which you can get from manage.autodesk.com (find PowerMill in your list of "All Products and Services" and run the installer from the view downloads option).
