With this Autodesk strategy for weak develop and slow progress and old method in every version of Powermill software compared to nx, hypermill, solidcam, etc., you should say goodbye to this software.

after 227 years ! powermill 2250! (We finally managed to change the menus!!!

@clinton.perry

I just tried to install Powermill 2024.

From my Autodesk account, downloaded this: "Create_Installer_PWRMU_2024_English_WIN64.exe"
Which is just a downloader.

After it finished downloading the install package (incidentally it put the files wherever it pleased without asking), I chose the "show in folder option", Then I ran the "setup.exe" file as administrator.
At some point during the installation, it failed and gave me this error:

(same thing happened when trying to install Powershape Ultimate 2024)

Not sure if there was some other software component that has to be installed first?

Big thanks to all who contribute!

It did work for me but it tossed it on my desktop where it took some digging to find.

Big thanks to Goran from Autodesk Support Chat.

As per his instructions, I followed the steps in this article:
"Install Failed - Error 232" when installing AutoCAD LT or Revit LT (autodesk.com)

Then I was able to install Powermill Ultimate 2024 and Powershape Ultimate 2024 without issue.

Big thanks to all who contribute!

The flat surface finishing strategy does not have filter parameters, and small holes may break the tool, posing a safety hazard. It is recommended to add filter parameters!

Hello Clinton Perry! High-precision machining strategies such as PowerMill 2024 open up additional blanks, lifting the tool back and forth between two similar boundaries. This extends the machining time, reduces unnecessary tool lifting only by manually arranging the sequence, manual arrangement programming takes a lot of time, and also increases the risk, dear Clinton Perry! Whether additional blanks can only be effective within the boundary.

@396993356 I'm sorry our software is causing you difficulties. Is there any chance you could share the project file with us, either here or with your support team (for confidentiality) so that our development team could investigate the problem?

Your issue is being caused by the "Additional stock" of 7mm.
I changed it to 3mm and the toolpath looks good.

7mm is for more safety! The main reason is that the jumping toolpath is not within the boundary.

设置2毫米一样会来回抬刀.如果抬刀能控制在边界范围以内会更完美
