powermill 2016 paf error

Hi everyone.

I just downloaded powermill 2016, and it gives me the Paf error=4 line=8191.

I tought this was a trial period software or a student free software.

Can anyone help me with this one?

This error has been reported by @Anonymous in this page  not sure if @Pijetro advice helped or not

If that doesn't help then the only thing I could think of is you are missing SafeNet Sentinel driver. You could find the installation file located under @jonathan.artiss post here

I downloaded the file, but i still need a dongle am i correct??

I didn´t know it was needed for home study.

How do I get one??

I was under the impression you already had a dongle plugged in.

Where did you download 2016 from? If it's a full version you need a dongle for it to run properly, for trial or student free I am not sure about that one

I downloaded from autodesk.

This was probably my mistake, i tought this was some sort of trial software, because it didn´t mention anything about a full version to be used by a company, and since this was the 2016...and there is already a 2019 powermill...well...

Autodesk does offer a free 30 trial to download here but I would think they would give you the 2019 version or at the least 2018 version that doesn't require dongles not 2016. Dongles are no longer supported as of the 2017 version.

Yes that was the last one from Delcam. Do you have an account manager you can talk to about that?

I expect that you downloaded PowerMill 2016 from here, which is linked from here. This particular set of file downloads is intended for legacy Delcam customers who already own a license for a PowerMill 2016 product; it is not trial or educational software.

The reason you encountered this PAF error message when starting PowerMill 2016 is because you do not have a PAF Licence file (*.paf) installed correctly. If you did not purchase a license for PowerMill 2016 from Delcam, you will not have the PAF Licence file (*.paf) or the USB security-protection dongle required to use the software.

Autodesk acquired Delcam on 6th February 2014, and Delcam was absorbed into Autodesk on 1st August 2016. The Autodesk PowerMill 2017 product range was released in August 2016, the Autodesk PowerMill 2018 product range was released in April 2017, and the Autodesk PowerMill 2019 product range was released in March 2018. The PowerMill 2016 product range is no longer sold or supported.

Please take the advice given by @iamcdn79 if you are interested in using Autodesk PowerMill software.

Hi, I have downloaded from the same source as you mentioned. I have an old delcam dongle but it is giving PAF error 4line 8191. What to to do now?

Hi. I never got a solution for my problem plus i didn´t had a dongle for powermill 2016. What i was told is to try to contact a powermill resseller.

But I do have a working dongle. All I need a valid PAF.
