postprocessor error - broken connection

Anonymous
Not applicable

we've been using the same post for years and all of a sudden I get this error message:

Write NC Program

Cannot load Counter Name data because an invalid index '' was read from the registry. Complete

Write NC Program
NC program : C:/Fagor/WinDnc/WORK/saddle rough_1.pim
Toolpath saddle rough_1
Unable to Postprocess.

does anyone know what this is and how to correct it?

Thanks

If it only happens with one program, then you have a mistake in the program itself.

Could you try to post an older program, which was OK last time ?

yes, I already tried that. it gives me the same error message.

i did see a answer to someone else who had the same issue. but i'm waiting to see if there is another answer that doesn't make me make changes to my computer in "administrator" mode.

thanks

Did you try to post to another location (C:\temp) or whatever ?

If you have an IT central service as we have, the most frequent solution to my problems is the answer to: "What the Hell did they change this time ???".

i think it's my workstation, i had one of my programmers post from his workstation and it works.

i'm going to contact our IT guys to make sure before i start messing with my workstation.

thanks for the comments, i'll post the results when/if i get this resolved.

Do you have the opportunity to use another postprocessor (a sample, for instance) ?

yes, i've tried a couple different posts that we have. even tried posting toolpaths that we've already used.

no luck.

Update...

The problem was not updating the post processor utility.

All is well.

Chances are that your post is out of date. Either that or you need to update your post processor.

Thank you
