Is anybody else having problems opening Solidworks assemblies in PowerMILL? Older Exchange versions had issues, then it was fixed for a while (2019 worked), and now 2020 won't open them again.

Thanks.

Hi dames99.

Although it is not solidworks, import of CATIA has a defect in Exchange 2019.0.3 or later.
I got confirmation from a Japanese support center.

Hello @dames99 . I'm sorry that you're having trouble with Exchange 2020. We aren't aware of issues with Solidworks assemblies at the moment. Are you willing to share an assembly that you're having the problem with? If so, could you please open a support ticket and attach the assembly to it. If you could post the support ticket number here it will make it easier for me to connect the two together.

Hi Benjamin,

This has been an ongoing issue for a while now. I can't upload assemblies to the forum unfortunately.

Please see this ticket Case ID: 14509503

Hi Benjamin,

It seems to be working now. Not sure why. I rebooted and all is well. I used the Autodesk uninstall tool to get rid of my old versions of Pmill and Fcam and that's when it wouldn't open assemblies again. Seems a reboot was in order.

Sorry for the false alarm.
