When, oh when will you fix this irritating issue?

What is the issue?

For live 5 toolpaths, if you use from or toward line with a set elevation:

Moving start points causes the links to retract up to the SAFE Z permanently.

Trimming the toolpath causes the links to retract up to the SAFE Z permanently.

The workaround is to use from or toward point, which can be annoying since you find yourself adjusting the height of that point until you get a good non-colliding toolpath.....ANNOYING!

I just sent in a project for this annoying bug.  You cannot force them down to save your life, even turning off gouge checking will not drop them.

Supposedly this is fixed in the latest release although I have not tested it yet. The release came out today.

There was another bug that would show its head when limiting a toolpath using a towards line or from line that's also fixed 🙂

I know it's off topic, and I rip on Autodesk every chance I can, but they deserve praise for fixing the automatic collision avoidance, it's night and day faster!

I agree! Good work on this build!

I sent praise too soon, it's not fixed. When editing a tool axis they jump up to the safe height and cannot be forced down with the skim. 😫
