I am a little confused on how Power Inspect does True Position. First, I have a hole through a 3/8" plate (Plane-Datum A), That is located 5.59" from Datum B (also a plane). The spec I have on the drawing says I have to locate this hole .015 to datums A&B. The first thing that confuses me is that when I select the nominal position based on CAD when either on 'no measure' or an unmeasured part, the nominals come up zero. If I try to insert the nominals on a measure that has data, I get nominals that are 2-3 times the entire part size (approx 12" wide overall). Also, the nominal it get gets vary some depending on which measured part's data I have up. While I am not sure if the GD&T being is being calle dout correctly, I would expect the nominal data to be the same.
