Hi,
I'm setting up my new workstation (oh god I hate this) and went from PowerInspect 2019 Ultimate to 2023 Ultimate.
My plugin didn't want to run so I installed PI2019 again, which also doesn't want to run.
This runs fine on my old workstation, same version, same project.
Do I need to setup other things?
The probe is saved in the project so I don't know if it has something to do with this.
Thank you,
Glenn
Hi @GlennM_MCGC,
You could try getting it solved by configuring PowerInspect to have the physical connections to the hardware first. From the error it looks like the add-in tries to do something that only makes sense if PowerInspect is connected to two devices at the same time. If this is actually your case then configuring the connections first should help.
Thanks,
Dmitriy
Hello,
I'm not connected to any hardware. I import the results from the milling machine by placing the log file in the root folder of the PI project.
Hm... Have you tried running the "Dual" flavour at least once? e.g. something along the lines of:
1) Shut PowerInspect down
2) Start PowerInspect Dual or Manual Dual depending on the licence that you have
3) Create a new document
4) Switch to the Machine tab, make a change in the machine configuration, e.g. change the probe head to something else from default and then change it back. Click on "Save as default" at the bottom.
5) Save the document (it does not really matter what name to use or where to save).
6) Close PowerInspect.
7) Start the flavour of PowerInspect that you normally use.
Check if you add-in would start working.
I've found a setting which I forgot to setup and now I get this:
The machine uses 3 axis. Is this a setting somewhere?
Hi,
Can you tell me what your machine is and which control is fitted please as that will help me understand which reader or script file should be used to import the results into PowerInspect.
Also if it is possible can you attach the results file to the post so that I can have a look at it?
Thanks,
Chris
