Hello All,

My employer want to be able to click on a symbol that me be on a plan and have an enlarged detail of the referenced symbol appear and easily dissapear.  I have no idea where to start but if anyone can help, please respond.

Ask them how it was done: someone there set it up.

Do you mean that he wants to be able to do this while working in AutoCAD? 

You could make a block that has a hyperlink in it that opens another file that has the detail in it. It might not be a smooth operation but it would get the job done.

Another option might be to make a dynamic block that has two visual states: State 1 is the small symbol, and state 2 is the blown up detail. That will give you a quick click on the block to change.
