Happy to announce the release of Point Layout 2024:

Point layout is now delivered through Autodesk Desktop App/Access or your account portal.  Trial version can be found here.

Supported Products:

  • AutoCAD 2020-2024 + Verticals
  • Revit 2020-2024
  • Navisworks Manage and Simulate 2020-2024

Revit:

  • Revit 2024 support
  • Export points: Add Layer column option exposed. Will use the Codemap for matching description to desired value, same as Include Code column option, but column will be placed after description in the file instead of before.
  • Fabrication Run / Pipe / Conduit functions now provide options for offsetting points to the top or bottom of the relevant objects based on their outer Diameter or height
  • Family points: When using Import function inside of a Family document, the points created will now have their parameters linked automatically

AutoCAD:

  • AutoCAD 2024 & Verticals support

Navisworks:

  • Navisworks 2024 support
  • Fix Revit project based points discovery for 2023+

General across all Plugins:

  • Import from Hilti HPL30 files now supported
  • Remove support for 2018/2019 products

Thank you,

Addendum to the 2024 release:

A new version has been released, 2024.1 which adds additional functionality.

Added is the ability to export to Hilti hpl30 project files, including new projects or adding to existing projects.  You will find a new checkbox on the Export screen:

Initial release already included the ability to import from these files, including usage within the Point Compare screen, this completes and allows full round trip data flow.

Note that this is not an update release but instead a full release replacing what is available for download from your accounts Products page and from the Trial website.  In order to get this version, please download the new installer.  All installers downloaded on or after June 14th will be this updated version.

Thanks,

Can you confirm that the CodeMap feature does not work with dynamic descriptions?

Kind of. If you add an entry that maps to what the decoded dynamic description will be, then it will work. But when adding a new entry, and you go to quick select descriptions, it is showing the base value, so you would need to type in what the end result of the description would be instead.
Thanks,
