Dynamic descriptions

I am having trouble understanding the dynamic descriptions.  I have a manual point inside a family, I have the description of this point set to @@'Parameter of host family'  When I tag items in the project environment it shows the actual text and not the parameter.  Do the dynamic descriptions not work for tags or are they for description when exporting points?

Correct, they are for exporting points. Since creating the description from those is done in my code and needs to happen at the time they are needed since the related parameters may change, I have no way to set it for the tag items, only for APL specific use cases such as Export or manage points.
