Well, you don't.

ObjectARX and .NET apps are not created from whitin AutoCAD, but from Visual
Studio
Version of VS depends on what AutoCAD verson you're doing your apps for.

Pandian,

I did the same as you are about to do about 2 years ago.

You will need to get MS Visual Studio, different versions of AutoCAD use different versions of Visual Studio.

For AutoCAD 2004 - 2006, I use Visual Studio 7.0. For AutoCAD 2007, I use Visual Studio 8.

You also need the ObjectARX API, this can be downloaded from ADN.

If you want a good book, I would recommend 'Programming AutoCAD in ObjectARX' by Charles McAuley. You can get that easily, I got it on amazon.co.uk.

I found that the best study material is the samples which you get with the ObjectARX API, they do a whole bunch of different things which can apply to many uses in applications.

The people on this forum are usually very helpful if you need to ask any questions, just make sure you give enough information for someone to be able to help you!

ObjectARX can be freely downloaded from Autodesk site.
You dont need ADN site for this, and you dont need to be ADN member to
obtain it.
