OK. Following-up from my previous post, I spent a day finding tutorials on how to use wizards and finally got to a point where I think I have everything set up correctly. But now I have 2 new issues. As shown in attached image_1, when I start debugging I get this message and it stays there for a good 30 seconds. What have I done wrong?

Secondly, when I click on "Local Windows Debugger" in Visual Studio I get the error as in image2. Is there no way to launch AutoCAD automatically. Thanks for any helpful tips and guidance.

1.) If you have configured external symbol servers in Visual Studio as explained in Kean Walmsley's Blog, than the debugger tries to download missing PDBs which may take a long time. If you have no special reason to use these PDBs you should disable this option.

2.) You can't attach the debugger to a running process. Instead you have to set acad.exe as the executable to debug in your project settings (Debug->Command). When you press F5 in VS AutoCAD will start and you can debug your ARX/DBX modules.

Are you using 32- or 64-Bit AutoCAD 2018? Make sure that you have compiled for the correct platform.
