We have created custom ribbon tabs and also added custom menu items to the classic menu within a .CUIX file. After saving and loading the CUIX (using PackageContents.xml), the custom ribbon tabs appear as expected. However, the classic menu bar does not display the new custom menu items unless we refresh the workspace or reload the CUIX using the CUILOAD command.
This issue occurs only on first-time load or first launch—after that, the menus persist and load correctly in subsequent sessions.
We’d like to understand:
- Why the classic menu is not automatically updating to show custom menu items immediately.
- Whether there is a reliable way to ensure the custom menu items appear in the classic menu without requiring manual refresh or reload.
- If there’s an API, configuration, or workspace embedding technique that can solve this.
This behavior impacts user experience, especially in deployment scenarios where user interaction should be minimal.
