Hello,

Is there a way to download the data on your insight tech dashboard as a csv or excel file or otherwise connect these dashboards with power BI for further analysis?

Thank you,

Irene

Hi Irene,

Thank you for connecting with us and letting us now about the need to connect to PowerBI.
While we are not yet supporting csv export, it would be helpful to understand more about this topic so that we can inform the development.
Please take a few minutes to answer the following questions:
1) What is your main goal for using PowerBI?
2) What data do you typically use as an input for PowerBI?
3) What type of information do you display in a PowerBI dashboard?
4) Is there any data processing or augmentation you typically perform in PowerBI?
5) What type of data from Insight would you need in a csv? (type of data = embodied carbon details table, factors, metrics, analysis data, model data - learn more
6) What functionality are we currently missing in Insight to support your goal for using PowerBI?

Thank you for your response, please see my answers below:

1) What is your main goal for using PowerBI? We would like to export the data for further analysis and to compare design options.
2) What data do you typically use as an input for PowerBI? CSV, excel, Json
3) What type of information do you display in a PowerBI dashboard? We would like to have the option to compare embodied carbon options, we would like to display materials, embodied carbon in all phases and cost.
4) Is there any data processing or augmentation you typically perform in PowerBI?
5) What type of data from Insight would you need in a csv? (type of data = embodied carbon details table, factors, metrics, analysis data, model data - learn more) All the embodied carbon calculations and parameters. Also from the model levels, materials per level, area.
6) What functionality are we currently missing in Insight to support your goal for using PowerBI? We are missing the opportunity to export this data to do some further analysis and comparison  so we can present this data to the client.

I hope that helps,

Let me know if you need any further clarification,

Irene
