In 2 of the other programs that work well with the HP MJF printer, they provide a graphic representation of the build through its cross sections. If you see the graphics below, they come from Materialize. (The other program that can make it is FabPilot)
HP seems to love software that is able to show this. I trust the MonteCarlo nest, but this graph is an extra layer of comfort that my management team wants to see.
The graphs shown below are of the same build but packed differently. You want a vertical(ish) line and you want it to be evenly distributed about the build unit. In some builds, you see large spikes, use the Slice Area values to see how large the spikes can be.
