dll succesfully loads but the command is missing

Hi guys!

I'm trying to test the .NET plugin I made on my collegue's PC. Dll successfully loads, but the command is missing.

On my PC, everything works as expected.

My collegue uses AutoCAD 2024, I'm using 2025...

Is this a compatiblity issue or something else?

Hi,

If you build your assembly targeting .NET 8, it won't be compatible with AutoCAD versions prior 2025.

I see... Presumably, there is no forward compatiblity? If I target .NET 4.8, the assembly won't work in AutoCAD 2025?

It may or may not.

You should build a new assembly against .NET Framework 4.8 targeting AutoCAD 2024 libraries and test it on both AutoCAD 2024 and 2025.
