progress process in palette

hi, 

I'm new to WPF, please bear with me. 

I'm create a Palette to show the result of processing data in current drawing,  I show the result in a ListBox of Palette.  it may take a while. current test drawing I use will take about 1-2 min.

I'm thinking, when the end user start the command, the Palette will popup, it will show a sandglass, once the data processing complete, the result will populate the ListBox. 

I also plan to add a Refresh button, almost do the same thing. 

is it possible? 

where I can find the example/tutorial?

any help I really appreciate.

are you referring to "wait cursor"?
