.Net 4.0 Client Framework with AutoCAD 2006

Hello,

I have run across numerous problems trying to get a VS2010 VB.Net addin targeted at the 4.0 client framework to work with AutoCAD 2006. I corrected several problems through reading posts about newer AutoCAD versions, but I'm still having problems.

Will ACAD 2006 work with the 4.0 framework, or am I wasting my time? If it will work, I would like to post more of my issues.

thanks,

PT

AutoCAD 2006 does not work with .Net 4.0 projects. Even 2011 uses at the latest 3.5 (I think). You can always configure your project to compile to a previous version of .Net - though you will lose the .Net 4.0 specific features.

I have a thread on this forum (and on the vb.net forum on microsoft's website) that explains how to get VS2010 to compile dll's for AutoCAD 2008, perhaps it will help with 2006 as well.

From memory, AutoCAD had a *very* limited .NET interface prior to the 2008 version.
