is the break point placed at code that is an UI component's code behind (dialog form)? If so, it is likely because of the infamous FIBER issue. Enter command "NEXTFIBERWORLD" and enter value 0. Then restart AutoCAD. This is only meant for debugging with VS, and may make autoCAD's ribbon/menu stop working.

Search this forum and/Kean's blog for "fiber" for more information on this topic.

This issue has gone away with AutoCAD 2015.
