Backup is associated with Autocad application

Hi, when we create a backup it should saved normally but I made a mistake that I selected the backup file to be open with autocad application, because of that I'm unable to open a backup file. so how can I open a backup file with autocad application associated this is how my backup files are creating so what is the solution for this? and I re-installed the software also

This is an operating system question - not related to autocad.

If you are using Windows, check the Default Programs list for the extension of your backup files (what is the extension for "CPU3-R1")?
