Weird ghosting issue when Sections enabled?

I'm having a weird issue with Navisworks 2018. This is a consistent problem and I cannot think of what might be happening. If you refer to the screenshot, you'll notice that even though I have sectioning enabled, there are still objects beyond the cut plane that are visible, but they are very faint, like a ghosted transparent model. Is this a bug? Or is there some setting or checkbox I'm overlooking? It's very distracting and takes away from the entire reason to section a model. All software is up to date.

Thanks in advance!

I have the same issue, probably caused by the videocard settings or something. you can avoid this by switching off "Screen Space Ambient Occlusion".

You can find this in: Options Editor > Display > Autodesk

Hopefully this will help

Okay so toggling that option makes it go away, but then I don't have my shadows (which really helps with the mind seeing "depth" in the model as you navigate, especially with my clients). This has never been a problem in previous versions. I wonder if my graphics card driver needs updating, at least I feel like I'm getting somewhere.

Thanks for your help!

It wound up being a driver issue. Updated the video card driver and the issue has since been resolved.

I updated my graphics card and it still happens but I may have found the culprit - it looks like turning off the section capping "feature" may fix it.

I wanted to mention that the driver card issue WAS NOT the solution. I just disabled the Capping feature under the Sectioning options and so far this seems to have corrected the issue.

Thank you so much for responding, seems like this may be exactly what the issue is.

I have been having the same issue. changed Graphics System (System) from Autodesk to Basic. Solved the problem. Only thing is that it seemed to lose some quality. Might have just been playing on my mind but essentially done some more digging. Turned it back to autodesk and turned "Screen Space Ambient Occlusion" off. problem solved. Same problem though as above though, I like this being on to add "depth" whilst navigating through models and for screenshots to clients etc. I turned this one back on and back came problems. I then tried the "Capping" option. Only thing was that this was turned off. I turned it on and it has solved the problem. Opposite from what the above was. Strange.
