Walk not working

I have generated a Navisworks file in v2017.

The Walk & Fly functions do not appear to work correctly.  They only swivel around a fixed point like the Look function.

I cannot walk into the model.  I can rotate around the outside of the model, but I cannot enter into the model.

I can section the model and approach the side of the section, but I cannot walk into the building at all.

All the other functions (Zoom, Pan, Look, etc) work but not Walk or Fly.

What do I have to do to get into the building?

Just to add:  collision is turned off.

Do you work in perspective or orthogonal mode ?

Fly and walk only work in perspective mode.

You can change the mode by right-clicking the House-Symbol left above the Viewcube.

I'm in perspective mode already, but thanks for the tip.

Any further suggestions?

I have exported the latest Revit models to Navisworks and this works fine.

It seems to be an issue with the particular file that was exported at that time.

Check the walk and fly speeds.

If you have a model with parts waaaaay out in space (relative to everything else) you may find some weirdness e.g. high/low walk speeds, extreme near/far clipping, and so on.

If you are going to fly by the seat of your pants, expect friction burns.
"I don't know" is the beginning of knowledge, not the end.

Thank you for the tips dgorsman.

Here is an update:

When I export the latest version of the Revit files to Navisworks, the file behaves fine.  Walk and fly operating as normal.

It seems to be an issue with just the previous version of the file.

I've offered to send the earlier file to Autodesk, subject to getting approval from my company.

I'll let you know if there is any further progress.

Cheers,

Pete
