May we please ask that you reinvent Navisworks?  What I mean by this is that nothing has changed to the user interface for a long time...years even.  With so much focus and attention placed on the Forge platform and everything cloud based, Autodesk is neglecting one of best/unique tool that they have.  With the lack of manuals and explanations on how to effectively coordinate, people are lost on how to even get started when using Navisworks.  There are more modern ways to work and better toolbars and widgets to use to navigate the software.  For example, because the tool bar is confusing, at our company, we simply create a Quick Access Toolbar that helps us navigate the program faster and better.  We can organize tools in groups so that workflows and processes become more efficient (by the way, for those of you reading this, buy a 12 key mouse and you can create macros for all QAT buttons).  But...our workflow could be so much better.  Let's talk about the QAT again.  In order to make any changes, you have to rebuild the toolbar.  You can't simply drag and drop icons on the QAT.  If you want to add something to the left side of the toolbar, you have to delete everything to the right.  How about a edit widget similar to what Microsoft products have?  Microsoft's version not only lets you organize all QAT tools but also gives you a list of all available tools.  This would be insanely helpful.

The ribbon itself could use a lot of love.  There are tools that have hidden tools within the tools.  Similar to Revit, additional tools could present themselves when the parent tool is selected.   This could go a long way to cleaning up the UI and making it more useful.  Again, looking at Microsoft tools, many of the tools could be brought down to the work area when right-clicking or hovering.  You could provide quick access to colors, visibility, comments and markups, dimensioning, etc.

And what about keyboard shortcuts.  I know them, I know that several are there, but how hard could it be to program a keyboard shortcut interface similar to Revit?  These are mission critical needs for power users.

These 'details' could go on for DAYS but lets end with the request to provide QAT Access or keyboard shortcuts for the tools within the program.  Clash Detective is the most important.  Having the ability to use keyboard shortcuts or a programmable mouse to group clashes, ungroup clashes, change status, toggle between hide all and just clash view would be such a game changer.  Speaking of game changer, if you could add a keyboard shortcut/programmable mouse button to the show inclusive toggle button, we would blown away.

We can leave quick properties, appearance profiler, dimensioning, window docking, search/find items, sets, saved viewpoints, and selection tree out of it for now, but please, please consider revamping the UX of Navisworks!  Let's breath some new life into this sucker.
