Synchronization ID

I am a beginner of the Navisworks, and now I am using the timeliner to create a new task, and I add a data resources from the project. However, in the Field Selector, I found that there are ID and Unique ID in the field of Synchronization ID. I tried once of each of them, but didn't find any different. So, anyone know the difference between them? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

The External Field Name column is used for the Data Source you are using, CSV, MsProject and similar.

If you are using MsProject for example, please open the columns ID and Unique ID there and you will see their values there. So to identify the main relation of the activity with Navisworks you may use either columns from MsProject.

So the values of these two fields are different in MsProject and you may use either of them while linking with Navisworks and I do advice to use Unique ID.

Hope Helps...
