SwitchBack doen't work

Hello all I have the Navisworks Manage 2019 and Revit 2018.2.

I have enabled the SwitchBack option in Revit.

So I go to Navisworks> select an element> and switchback...but nothing happens in Revit.

Do I miss something?

Thank you in advance!

The version Navisworks 2018 is in the External Tool add-in.

So isn'possible to use the Switchback Option with Navisworks 2019?

Thank you!

I know from personal experience that Switchback doesn't work in Navisworks 2018 with Revit 2018.  Raised a ticket with Autodesk, they opted not to rectify it.  I wasn't impressed as I saw this as a fundamental collaboration functionality.  With what these companies charge for licenses with their 'broken' products it's pretty poor support.

I'm using Revit 2018.3 with Navisworks Manage 2018.  I concur that the Switchback feature is not working.  I do see the Revit button blinking, but the objects are not selected in Revit as they should be.  I would greatly appreciate it if I could get this valuable tool working.

I am also having the same issue.I am using same year version of Revit and Naviswork. If I select an object in Navis after clicking on SwitchBack tools,  Revit icon on task bar is blinking but the object do not select on Revit.

Need attention from Autodesk to resolve this issue.

First of All install Navisworks Exporter Tool based on your Revit Version. Here is the Link for Navisworks Exporter.

https://www.autodesk.co.uk/products/navisworks/autodesk-navisworks-nwc-export-utility

Step 1: Open the Revit Model First

Step 2: Convert the Model to NWC Using File > Export > NWC

Step 3: Open the Model Beside to the Revit

Step 4: Now Go to the Revit & From Addins tab > External Tools > Choose Navisworks Switchback

Option. (i.e it sync the element id's vs Navis & Revit)

Step 5: Select any Element in Navisworks > Right Click & Choose Switchback.

Step 6: We dont have any Step 6. 🙂 Solved right!!!! Cheers 🙂
