Selection inspector not selecting at geometry level

Selection inspector not selecting at geometry level

Not applicable

I have a large amount of CADworx piping in a nwd. file I'm looking at. I want to use the export function on the selection inspector tool. When I select an individual geometry one at a time, they show the cadworx details like pipe length, pipe size etc.. just fine and I'm able to export the information for my estimate.

When I select multiple items by holding down the spacebar and control at the same time, only the Groups levels are selected and there is no information in the selection inspector to export.

I have all settings set to select at the geometry level. Please advise how I can export the data I need and select several geometries at once.

You could try iConstruct add-in, It has lots of features, I'm sure it might have something that could help.

Have you tried using the Quantification tool within Navisworks? It is not the greatest tool within Navisworks, but it does allow you to get quantity information about the product.

When using the Selection Inspector, are you selecting the same type of objects? For example, are you only selecting pipe and not pipe and valves at the same time?

Please mark this response as "Accept as Solution" if it answers your question.

I am having the same issue and I have tried quantification, I have tried selecting multiple item types, I have tried selecting only all pipe. To no avail I can't figure out what has changed because I know it use to go to the geometry level and doesn't now.

Here is my thread I just started in case someone answers there.
