Refresh Button

Hello all,

With which file format do you use the Refresh button?

As far as I know,  we can import a .rvt file in Navisworks , go back in Revit , make changes , Save the Revit file with the same name that has the .rvt file that we have imported in Navisworks, and press the Refresh button in order to update the changes.

What about the navisworks formats? If I try to do the same, when I go to rename the .nwc file, I get the message that I cannot rename the file as it is still open in Navisworks. Do I need to close the Navis first or do you use the refresh button for .rvt , .dwg files?

In the Navisworks Options Editor dialog, expand the Model section and choose Performance.  Check the box to Close NWC/NWD files on Load.

Now when the linked files load, they are not locked from being able to be edited.
