Property set from Civil3d not visible in Navisworks

We have established a property set in Civil3D 2016 for different kind of objects (Civil3d surface, 3D solids etc.)

We had 4 colleagues that created a similar DWG and apppended this to the Navisworks 2018/2019 but the property set was not visible. see attached images

They sent the file to me and I test it in my Navisworks 2018, it works fine.

we have done this without success:

- Installed object enabler

- resave the civil3d in 2010.

- changed the selection option in Navisworks (first object)

- Checked option editor in Navisworks that properties are included for DWG import

we have done this to get it work

- install NWCOUT addin to Civil3d (it's kinda workaround and we lose  the dynamic link to Navisworks)

- resave the DWG in civil3d 2018 (our client require us to use Civil3d 2016, therefore this is not an option)

Hi @philip_hon ,

I understand, that opening the exact same DWG file in Navisworks on one workstation shows the property set, but doing the same on another workstation, Navisworks fails to display the property set in question.

This sounds like a difference in settings.

Please, check the following:

  1. Verify that the setting is checked in the options for Navisworks within this article
  2. If the settings above alone don´t take care of the isssue, you can add custom data through creating a custom link using this article

I hope this information helps - don´t forget to mark this post as a solution if it does.

Let me know if you need more help - I´d be happy to continue assisting you.

Best regards,
