Properties in Selection tree

Hi all,

I have recently switched from navis 2014 to navis 2015 and I have found that the latter does not deal with the properties the same way as in 2014.

If I am working with navis 2014, I go to selection tree/properties and under Revit type and (again) under Assembly code I found the different (and all) selection sets for this values. This is logic to me.

On the other hand, while doing the same in navis 2015 I found that this selection sets are under different properties (some under revit type, others under family and type, etc.) even for the same families/types.

Does anyone know why and if is there a way to get the same reuslt as in navis 2014 ?

Is this an error of the new version?

thanks in advance

You can change the selection tree viewing properties in Options Editor, Options Editor can be open by selecting F12 key

Thanks sureshchotrani, but I'm afraid that this doesn't solve my problem

As you can see in the attached image if I select the Assembly Code in the type Id it is selecting just a few elements from all those that in fact have the same Assm Code.

To select the rest I have to go under the Type property, in this case.

This is happening to the elements which correspond to the floor category in Revit.

While other categories the assembly code fall under Revit Type .Capture2.JPG

Can't I just group all the assembly code values under (at least) a unique property?

Hope you are aware of search sets, you can make sets of whatever you require

First you will have to find the items you what make a set of

FindItems.PNG

On left side select the file & on right side select the Category, Property, Condition & Value. In your case you need to see the Assembly codes.

This will select all the items, go sets right click save selection

SaveSelection.png

All will group in one set.

Find Items & Set tabs can be opened in Home menu under Search & Select tab

I have the same issue, I think there has been changes in the exporter.
Also in the same Type there are elments whose properties distribution is different from others elements from the same Type.

sureshchotrani even if you select by selection sets you won't be able to select all the floors with the same assembly code with just one defintion

I need up to 4 definitions to select all the elements with the same Assembly Code...

Once you have find them all and selected, now go in sets and make one set for your assemblies:)

ok but I don't understand why behaves this way as they are the same exact family/type element and needs different definitions for elements and apparently it has no logic
