Point Cloud in Simulate or Manage

Hi there Navis gurus

I only need to know if Simulate can import laser scanned point cloud files (I know Manage can).

Simulate is about 2.5 times cheaper (than Manage) and I don't need clash detection.

Anyone out there knows this?

Issue:

Is it possible to load our laser scan (point cloud .RCP) into Navisworks and walk through the model and display the photorealistic scan images in Navisworks like in ReCap?

Solution:

Currently the following is possible in Navisworks:

• Opening and display of the .RCP point cloud in Navisworks (Manage and Simulate) : ReCap Page
• Use the Walk Tool in Navisworks
• Overview of Viewpoints in Navisworks
• Export to NWD the Navisworks model with the point cloud so the point cloud is embedded in NWD: How to embed point cloud data in an NWD file and make it viewable on any machine

So reading that I would say yes you can bring in point cloud data (rcp) into Navisworks Simulate

in fact if you go on the compare products for Manage and Simulate, it doesn't specifically mention point cloud data. 

So I would take that as both can import point cloud data.
