Old info or bug in Navisworks Simulate 2018 / Freedom 2019

Dear Forum members,

I would like to address an issue that we encounter with Navisworkd simulate 2018 and Freedom 2019.
We made a model Using Plant 3D 2018 (piping) and loaded the DWG into Navisworks,

The first time we saw the correct pipe tags in the selection tree (standard and compact) of navisworks.

After updating some of the tags in Plant 3D, Navisworks only shows the initial tag ( see screenshot 1 )

When taking a look in the properties part and then navigate to --> Autocad -> Line number, then we see the updated line numbers, (screenshot 2)

Now my question,

How can we show the correct line numbers in the standard selection tree?

Kind regards,

If this was of any help please kudo and/or Accept as Solution
Kind Regards

After saving the DWG,

try deleting the NWC file

and then open Navisworks again.

If the problem is not there, then you have a workaround

if the problem is still there, then you did find a bug.

@DGRL -

I believe I found a case that is related to this. When the work is complete in Plant 3D, could you please run the command "PLANTREFRESHACQPROPERTY"? For whatever reason it does not seem like the ACQP information updates automatically.

If this solves your issue, please let me know and mark this post with a "kudos" or Solved.

Thank you

@christian.riley

Thanks for this information, it did partly solved the issue.

This command PLANTREFRESHACQPROPERTY purged a few non used layers and fixed some other things i guess.

For the remaining layers i did quickselect on them just to find out that a few fittings kept there Original layer and did not updated too the new layer ( after changing the line number tag)

So after a few runs of PLANTREFRESHACQPROPERTY on both the dwg and the whole project, and preforming quickselect and manually changing the layer now all the old line numbers are gone.

And a plus is that it seems that the drawings open faster.

Thanks for the help

Kind regards,
