Object Animation (created from Animator) not exporting properly.

Hello, can someone please help me to properly export the object animation I did using the Animator. I was able to export it using the settings below but when I played the video it is just the background, not showing the sequencing. Also included what video looks like below. I am using Navisworks Manage 2023.

Thanks!

Would you happen to have Navisworks Manage 2022 installed or can you install it and try saving your file?

It didn't work out. Installed 2022, opened the project there and save and animation. Still animation is not showing, just the background.

I am assuming that your preview is working ok. I would try making a couple of changes to your settings.

I would change your View Size Type to "Aspect Ratio". Under Video Compression, I always use 100 not 80.

I am guessing that the issue is with the "use spect ratio" setting under video compression. I did a test on my machine and that is what I had an issue with.

Another option and admittedly I have never used it myself, I know some people are using Screencast https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast to record their videos. It is free so it might be worth looking at. If you do look at it and it is worth it, please let us know.

Still the same. Changed the settings already and still not showing the animation. It is just playing but only the background shows.

The issue with your animation is the Lighting. If you change the Lighting to "Full Lights" in the Viewpoint tab, you will be able to see your building when you export the animation.

Let me know if you have questions.

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for the reply but issue still there, can't see the model after exporting. I already changed in to Full Lights.

These are the steps I took to create the video:

1. I created viewpoints to match the keyframes that were shown in Animator. Since no elements were being animated and you were just animating the section plane, I just used Viewpoints.

2. In the saved Viewpoints, I created a new animation "test" and then I dragged and dropped the viewpoints I created under "Test".

3. Under the Animation tab, I make sure that NY "test" animation was selected and I played it to make sure it was running.

4. Under Viewpoint I made sure I set my render mode style and lights

5. Went back to animation and exported. These were the settings I used.

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for the reply. Really appreciate this one because it leads me to the missing link on my animation. I was not able to do this procedure of yours, but it leads me to the idea that I needed to add camera viewpoint aside from using the section plane. Below is the current settings of my animator. If you have this section plane and camera, it will work like mine. It doesn't matter what lighting and render mode. Again, thanks for giving the idea on how it works!

Cheers!
