NWC Export Utility - ARCHICAD

Hello All,

I have a firm im trying to collaborate with and im trying to present a seamless solution for udpates etc. We are trying to export an NWC file from ArchiCad so we dont have to import into Revit with IFC. It has been a challenge to remove errors and have a clean import.

We have everything working except when exporting with the NWC Utility the Building Envelope (Curtian Wall) while turned on produce an empty file on export. Any thoughts ? If the Curtain Wall is hidden. The export is perfect.

I use DWG to export from ArchiCAD and import into Navisworks. However I have no experience with Curtain Walls. But If they land on a separate layer in the DWG it is very easy to make them hidden manually or using the appearance profiler.

Hi All,

For ARCHICAD to Navisworks export you can try this plugin. I've never seen problems with geometry export, however in free mode elements within one storey will be merged as a single element in Navisworks. Despite of this the workflow is smoother than using IFC files.

Best regards,

Also there is that free plugin (may be it's only Russian support product, but it no hinder to use that module at English or other languages). Plugin supports not only Autodesk software (Revit, AutoCAD, 3ds Max) and too Bentley MicroStation, Graphisoft ArchiCAD.
