Hi

Was wondering why ASTA Power Project Version 14 is not supported by Simulate 2017?

Thanks

Have you tried with navisworks manage? this is strange because ASTA Power project was supported in the previous versions.

I know that Asta Powerproject version 11/12 work with Manage 2017 and I've never tried to anything later though

Navisworks 201718 is only able to import Asta Powerproject files that are version 12 or lower.

I have tried with Version 13.0.02 and 14.0.03, but both produce the following error:

'Could not read the specified project'

Is this something that is being looked into? It seems like a significant oversight and renders the timeliner feature useless if we can not import programme files.

Interpreting third-party data formats can get tricky, as it's mainly on that other developer to provide access via an API.  If they haven't publicly provided one for the latest version, and won't commercially provide one to Autodesk, then there's not much Autodesk can do to support it.

Not ideal but maybe you can move the data through an intermediate format that Navisworks does support?
