Navisworks have two options of Category, what is difference between them?

I use find item function in navisworks. and that function have two options for category.

Category - Name and Element - Category

 

what is difference?

Hello, I hope you are feeling very well. This depends first on the type of source model you are working on in Navisworks. That is, it will not be the same data structure if it is a Revit model to if it is a Solidworks model for example. And then take into account that this data will depend on what hierarchy of the model you are tracking. To give you an example with a Revit specific model. Revit models are sorted first by level, then by category, then by type and finally by material:

Thus, each hierarchy will have different parameters. So, to track elements by selection filter, the first thing I recommend you to do is to analyze in which hierarchy is the data you are looking for, it may be that this data is in multiple hierarchies or not:

For example, in the data of your query, the difference lies in where the data you are looking for is located, in which hierarchy and in which tab of the properties it is.
